RedCannon is founded by a security-industry veteran Vimal Vaidya, who has succesfully built several Internet security start-ups. His past ventures include iPolicy Networks, where within three years he took the company from product concept and transformed it into a multi-million dollar business; Internet Tools, a pioneer in signature-based Intrusion Detection Ssystems (IDS) which was acquired by Axent Technologies, Inc. (NASDQ: AXNT) now part of Symantec Corp; and neTrend which created one of the first black-box Internet Firewalls which was acquired by ON Technology Corp. (NASDAQ: ONTC) as well as several other start-ups some of which he is still serves on the board of directors.

RedCannon employs some of the most talented people in security industry with experience from some of the largest secutiy companies in the world such as Symantec, Cisco, RSA, Nokia and others.
